Digital property tips: stop losing leads on paper

You walk down your street and see a house whose shutters have been down for weeks. Or at Sunday breakfast a friend mentions that an aunt wants to sell a large plot because the upkeep is too much.

In real estate, that kind of knowledge is valuable. What happens next is usually not. The fact lands on the back of a receipt, in a messy notes app, or nowhere at all.

ImmoTell® exists so that observation becomes a property tip you can submit, track, and — if a sale completes — receive a Reward for. The place for that tip is the app, not a scrap of paper.

Why paper notes waste good tips

A note on paper or in an unstructured list has three failures.

1. The details disappear

What was the house number? Was it an apartment or a building with several units? The ImmoTell® team needs facts it can act on. A tip that says “the corner house, I think” often dies there.

2. You never hear what happened

If you pass a tip by message or over the table, you wait. Was it reviewed? Did an owner confirm? Did a sale happen? Calling into that silence is tiring. Most people do not submit a second tip.

3. The “help” becomes unpaid work

You wanted to share a fact and, if a sale happens, receive a Reward. Instead you coordinate calls, chase updates, and keep the thread alive. A modern process should not feel like a second job.

What you actually enter in the app

The app asks for the facts a sale process needs. It does not ask you to run the sale.

For most tips that is:

  1. Address. You pick a German address, including the house number. The app does not accept a free-typed “somewhere in the town”.
  2. Property type. House, apartment, building, construction, or land.
  3. Owner consent. You confirm that the owner agrees you may submit the tip. If the property is not yours, the owner later completes a form on this website so an agent may contact them.

An apartment also needs floor and unit so the team can tell flats apart. You can add an estimated sale value. The Reward still uses the final sale price after a completed sale.

That is more than one tap. It is still a short flow: one job on each screen, then you stop. ImmoTell® organises the rest.

Status you can see without calling

After submit, the app shows how the tip is processed. Think of it as tracking for a tip, not a static list you forget.

You can expect stages in this spirit:

You do not need to phone for a status. If a tip is rejected — for example because owner consent is missing, the property was already submitted, or key facts are missing — that outcome is visible too.

Privacy is part of the product

Property tips include personal data. Neighbours, relatives, and owners have a right to expect care.

ImmoTell® limits what a tipster sees:

The Privacy Policy is the formal record. GDPR and property tips explains the same rules in plain language.

A digital home for the next observation

You do not need to be an agent. You need a clear address, a property type, and consent you can stand behind.

Paper will still lose the house number. The app will not. Download ImmoTell®, open the home screen, and submit the next tip while you still remember it.
