You know of a property that may be sold? A neighbour may be thinking about selling a house, friends may want to sell their apartment, or a sale may be coming up in your professional circle.
Exactly those situations can become a valuable property tip.
With ImmoTell® you can recommend a property that may be for sale. If your tip leads to a successful sale, you receive a Reward as the tipster.
The point is not to report as many properties as possible. What matters is a concrete lead on a real sale opportunity — and that the owner agrees to be contacted.
What is a property tip?
A property tip is a lead on a property whose owner is considering a sale and agrees to be contacted.
You do not need to be a property expert, run a valuation, or manage the sale. You send ImmoTell® the key facts about the property. ImmoTell® and the assigned estate agent then take the next steps.
That is how information from your personal or professional circle becomes a concrete sale opportunity.
How a property tip works at ImmoTell®
The flow is simple: you submit the key facts about the property through ImmoTell®. The tip is then checked and taken into the next process. You can follow the current status in the ImmoTell® app.
If your tip leads to a successful sale and the applicable conditions are met, you receive the matching tipster Reward.
Which properties can you recommend?
A property tip can cover different property types, for example:
- detached houses
- owner-occupied apartments
- apartment buildings
- plots of land
- construction projects
What matters most is that there is a concrete property and that the owner is generally open to a possible sale and to being contacted.
What facts does a good property tip need?
You do not need a full listing or a professional valuation. A few basic facts help us assign and check your tip quickly:
- the full address with street, house number, and place,
- the matching property type,
- the owner’s agreement to be contacted.
For an apartment, floor or unit number can help so the unit can be identified inside a larger building.
If you already know a possible sale price, you can add it. For a later Reward calculation, your estimate is not what counts. The actual sale price counts.
Why does owner agreement matter?
A good property tip should open a real sale opportunity. That is why the owner should be generally open to a possible sale and should agree to be contacted.
Do not pass on a property or contact details without speaking to the owner first. A short conversation can already be the start of a successful tip.
Can I submit my own property as a tip?
Yes. You can also submit your own property as a property tip through ImmoTell®.
Example: you and your partner want to sell a property you own together. One of you suggests starting the sale through ImmoTell® and submits the property as a tip.
If that tip leads to a successful sale, your own-property tip is treated and paid under the same applicable conditions as a successful tip on someone else’s property.
That means a tip does not have to be a neighbour’s house, a friend’s apartment, or a contact’s property. Your own property, or a jointly owned property, can also be a successful tip.
What happens after I submit a tip?
After you submit the tip, ImmoTell® and the assigned estate agent take the next steps. You do not need to run the sale process yourself.
You can follow the status of your tip in the ImmoTell® app. You stay informed without having to ask again and again.
How long the process takes cannot be stated as a single number. Location, property type, condition, asking price, and demand can all affect whether and when a sale happens.
When do I receive a tipster Reward?
A Reward does not arise only because you report a property. What matters is that your tip actually leads to a successful sale under the applicable conditions.
The Reward amount is based on the actual sale price. The ImmoTell® Reward calculator lets you see what Reward could arise at different sale prices.
The exact rates and further options around invitations are explained separately in Become a property tipster: recommend ImmoTell® and benefit together.
When is the Reward paid out?
Under the current conditions, payout can take place when:
- the notarial purchase contract has been signed,
- ImmoTell® has received the agreed fees, and
- your bank details needed for payout are complete in your profile.
A sale that is still running is therefore not yet a paid Reward.
It is useful to complete the details needed for a later payout in your profile early. That reduces avoidable delay after a successful sale.
Please also note that Reward income can have tax effects. A tax adviser or the tax office can give a binding view of your personal situation.
What makes a good property tip?
A good tip does not need to be complicated. Three points matter most:
- Concrete: it is about a property that can be identified clearly.
- Current: there is a real plan or intent to sell.
- Agreed: the owner knows about a possible contact and agrees to it.
The more concrete and reliable your facts are, the better the tip can be checked and taken forward.
A good tip can be the start of a successful sale
A property sale often does not start with an advert or an agent appointment. It starts with a conversation.
You learn that someone is thinking about a sale — and you make the decisive contact through ImmoTell®. ImmoTell® and the assigned estate agent take the rest.
If the sale completes successfully and the applicable conditions are met, you receive your Reward as the tipster.
Do you already know your next property for sale?
It may be a neighbour’s house, a friend’s apartment, or a property in your own circle.
If the owner is considering a sale and agrees to be contacted, you can submit your property tip through ImmoTell®.
Know a property. Submit a tip. Receive a Reward if the sale succeeds.
